Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is currently the president as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. A California born Buss has been raised by an upper class family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon before becoming the owner of the Lakers. Their relationship ended in 1972 and she began to feel like she was neglected. Her family's business was started at the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. She later set up her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before she became vice president of the Lakers, she served as president of Great Western Forum. Buss' father died in 2013 and the Lakers were inherited from him by Buss and her five siblings via an inheritance trust. Each sibling had the same number of votes. she assumed the duties of the President of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
